Itinerary
  Day 1   DRAKENSBERG ESCARPMENT (via Blyde River Canyon)
     
  We depart from Johannesburg/Pretoria and make our way through the Mpumalanga Province. Our journey takes us along the panoramic route, some of the most stunning scenery South Africa has to offer. The sights en route include God’s Window, the Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Three Rondawels and the magnificent Blyde River Canyon. Evening to be spent camping at a resort overlooking the Canyon.   Day 2   KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
     
  After breakfast, we descend the escarpment and make our way to the world-renowned Kruger Park. Our wildlife experience begins as we enter the park, exploring prime game viewing areas en route to our campsite. We arrive at our campsite in time to freshen up before heading out on an exciting open vehicle night drive. This experience allows us the opportunity to view the nocturnal activities of the many animals within the park. The evening is to be spent camping in Kruger. (BD)  
     
  Day 3   KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
     
  An early rise, we begin the day with coffee and rusks, before venturing out on a morning game drive. Most of the day will be spent game viewing, bird watching and stopping at the various waterholes and viewpoints. We arrive back at the camp at sunset, time to enjoy a traditional braai (barbeque) and relax around the campfire. (BD)  
     
  Day 4   HLANE GAME RESERVE – Swaziland
     
  Departing from Kruger Park, we travel south-east towards the Swaziland border. We enter the Kingdom of Swaziland, nestled snugly between, Mozambique, Northern Zululand and Mpumalanga. We visit a traditional Swazi cultural village and gain insight into their cultural beliefs, traditional dancing and singing. We then depart for the Hlane Royal National Park. This vast expanse of bushveld with its ancient hardwood trees, spectacular birdlife and four of the Big Five makes Hlane, home to the largest wild herds in the kingdom. We set up camp, before exploring Hlane on a guided game walk, giving us the opportunity to track white rhino on foot.
The evening is to be spent camping at Hlane. (BD)
 
     
  Day 5   PONTA MALONGANE
     
  We depart from Hlane and make our way to the Golela border post and into Maputaland. Our journey continues via Kosi Bay, as we once again head across a border to a seaside village in Mozambique. We then have the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the unspoiled beaches of Mozambique. The evening is to be spent at one of the coastal resorts. (BD)  
     
  Day 6   PONTA MALONGANE
     
  Today we have the opportunity to relax on the beach or take part in one of the many optional activities. These include snorkelling, scuba diving or swimming with the bottlenose dolphins. The evening is to be spent at a beach resort. (BD)  
     
  Day 7   HLULUWE AND ST. LUCIA ESTUARY
     
  We depart Mozambique, making our way to the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve, the oldest game reserve in Africa. The day is spent on game drives, searching for the endangered Black Rhino, for which this park is famous. We depart Hluhluwe in the late afternoon and head for Lake St Lucia, a World Heritage site.
The evening is to be spent in Lake St Lucia. (BD)
 
     
  Day 8   DUBAN
     
  Departing St Lucia, we make our way to the coastal city of Durban. Today we are free to explore the city at leisure. Dinner at a local restaurant (own expense). Evening to be spent in Durban. (B)  
     
  Day 9   DURBAN TO SOUTHERN DRAKENSBERG
     
  We depart the cosmopolitan city of Durban and make our way to the Southern Drakensberg. We set up camp and spend the rest of the day hiking and exploring the majestic Drakensberg Mountains. (BD)  
     
  Day 10   SOUTHERN DRAKENSBERG
     
  After breakfast we head off on a day trip up the spectacular Sani Pass, enjoying lunch at the Highest Pub in Africa. The Sani Pass is the only road linking Kwazulu-Natal and the mountain kingdom of Lesotho. We return to our camp after experiencing a thrilling drive up one of South Africa’s highest mountain passes.   Day 11 & 12   WILD COAST
     
  We depart the Drakensberg and make our way to the Wild Coast, visiting the Nelson Mandela Museum en route. We spend our time relaxing on the beach, exploring the unspoiled stretches of coastline and experiencing the age-old traditions and customs of the local Xhosa people. Abseiling, canoeing and hiking are available for the adventure seekers (optional). (BD)  
     
  Day 13   ADDO ELEPHANT PARK
     
  After an early morning rise, we depart for the Addo Elephant National Park. After setting up camp, we depart on an afternoon game drive through the valley of the elephants,searching for the largest of the Big 5. We overnight in the National Park. (BD)  
     
  Day 14 - 16   GARDEN ROUTE
     
  The next three days we spend discovering the most spectacular stretch of the Garden Route. We visit the Tsitsikamma National Park, the picturesque town of Knysna, the white beaches at Plettenberg Bay and the many indigenous forests in the area. We are kept busy with many adrenalin activities on offer in the area: kayaking; skydiving; bungee jumping; scenic flights; tree-top tour; abseiling/rap jumping; cycling and black-water tubing (optional).   Day 17   OUDTSHOORN
     
  Departing the coastal regions of the Garden Route, we head into the arid regions of the Karoo. We make our way to the ostrich capital of the world, Oudtshoorn. We spend time at one of the many ostrich farms, allowing us the opportunity to ride an ostrich. Visiting the Cango Caves,we venture underground into the many small caverns. We overnight in Oudtshoorn. (BD)  
     
  Day 18   HERMANUS
     
  Up early, we depart Oudtshoorn and head back to the coast. We spend our time discovering the whale-watching town of Hermanus, experiencing the giants of the deep from the coastline or close up from a kayak (option & seasonal). (BD)  
     
  Day 19   CAPE TOWN
     
  We are given the opportunity to experience shark cage diving at Gansbaai (optional extra), or simply relax on the beach before we depart for the Mother City of Cape Town. We spend the evening out on the town, enjoying a meal at one of the many restaurants (own expense). (B)  
     
  Day 20   CAPE TOWN
     
  This morning is spent discovering Cape Town with a visit to Cape Point. We then enjoy a farewell lunch at one of the local wine farms before heading back to Cape Town (own expense). (B)
