Itinerary
  Day 1   CAPE TOWN
     
  After your arrival at Cape Town International Airport, one of our representatives can meet you and assist you in completing the car hire formalities (optional). Alternatively collect your car and drive to your guesthouse. If you prefer we will collect you at the airport and take you to your guesthouse, where you can meet the car hire company and go through the formalities of car hire. They will also you are your travel documentation with vouchers, maps etc. Your hosts at your guesthouse will be able to assist you in deciding where to go in and around Cape Town. If time permits, then you can go immediately to the V&A waterfront and take a sunset cruise (weather permitting)

  Day 2   CAPE TOWN - PENINSULA
     
  After breakfast, take a drive around the scenic Cape Peninsula. Visit Hout Bay and take a boat trip to Duiker Island to see the seals. Drive over the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive to Noordhoek and on to Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope. Return along the False Bay coastline to Boulders and visit the 3 000 strong colony of African Penguins. Continue to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and enjoy a quiet walk through the indigenous vegetation. In the evening, relax or party at one of Cape Town’s nightclubs.

  Day 3   CAPE TOWN - LEISURE
     
  Take this day (weather permitting) to do some shopping, get some rest and tan on the beach or if the weather is having a bad day – go to the aquarium at the Waterfront or go see a movie. There is much to do and see in the centre if town from antique shopping to local craft markets and some wonderful offbeat cafes on Long Street. Go to Exclusive Books, sit in their coffee shop, and submerge yourself in their books. Go to Robben Island, and of course, not to be missed – Table Mountain. Go to one of the delis and buy a small picnic lunch, and find a quiet spot on the Mountain to feed your soul, taking in the Majestic city below.

  Day 4   CAPE TOWN - HERMANUS
     
  distance: APP 80 Km

Today you leave Cape Town and drive along the False Bay coast to Hermanus. Hermanus is about 80km out of Cape Town and is a well-known tourist destination. After checking in at your Guest House enjoy the village centre of Hermanus, take a swim or walk at the beach. In season (July to November), watch the whales cavort in the bay, so close, you can almost touch them. Tonight enjoy a meal out on the town and sample the village nightlife.

  Day 5   HERMANUS - SWELLENDAM
     
  After breakfast, you will leave Hermanus and travel through the cornfields to Cape Agulhas. Also known as The Overberg, It is Africa's southern-most tip. It is also home to Shipwrecks and a massive functional lighthouse from 1848. Stop and have lunch in Cape Agulas continue through the farmlands and villages to the N2 and on to Swellendam. After Cape Town and Stellenbosch, Swellendam is the third oldest settlement in South Africa (1745). Laying at the foot of the beautiful Langeberg mountains this place is not only famous for its youngberries, but also as well as for its architecture and its history. The town situated halfway between Cape Town and George on the N2 is a great stopover for people travelling to or from Cape Town.

  Day 6   SWELLENDAM - MONTAGUE
     
  Spend the morning browsing through Swellendam before travelling on to Montagu, the town best known for its soothing, healthy hot springs. After your drive, you may wish to “take to the Waters”, relaxing in the hot springs, Gateway to the Klein Karoo and route 62, (the longest wine route in the world) the charming, historic village of Montagu is the "Mountain Mecca" of the Western Cape. Montagu, the Jewel on Route 62, is only two hours drive from Cape Town and the alternative way to travel the Garden Route. Also home to the world famous tractor rides – ask your guesthouse for additional information.

  Day 7   MONTAGUE - CAPE TOWN
     
  Leave the Little Karoo and head back to Cape Town via Robertson and Worcester (BREEDE RIVER VALLEY). Stop and have lunch in one of the small towns, with spectacular views of the Breede River and surrounding wine lands. For some spectacular views of Table Mountain, take the Du Toits Kloof Pass instead of the Toll Road through the tunnel. After your arrival back in the Mother City book into your guesthouse and go out for a nice dinner on Kloof Street.

  Day 8   CAPE TOWN - WINELANDS
     
  We chose your last day for this so that you could really just let go and get drunk. Today you will travel with a local tour operator to the wine lands. (We do not suggest self-drive, but it is an option) Get up early for a nice and tasty breakfast to line your stomach before you set off for Cape Town’s breathtaking wine farms. Enjoy the day with beautiful views, and of course delicious wine and lunch. Lunch at one of the farms, where you can purchase wine, if you need assistance the farms can assist.

  Day 9   CAPE TOWN - AIRPORT
     
  After packing and a day at leisure work your way back to Cape Town International Airport, where you will drop off your hire car and connect with your international flight home.
